Vortex D3 Mini
The Vortex D3 Mini is a semi-automatic system packing all the benefits of the larger Vortex into a versatile and compact cooker/chiller for ultimate flexibility and smaller volumes.
The Vortex has been expressly developed for cooking and chilling short and long pasta and is equally suitable for numerous other products such as noodles, rice, potatoes and vegetables.
The D3 Mini allows for the possibility to run batch sizes from as little as 10kg up to 40kg and is especially suited to sit alongside the larger Vortex or as a standalone machine. With outputs of up to 250kg per hour, it is perfect for the smaller volume products.
The design and accessibility of the machine make the D3 Mini highly versatile with quick product changeovers, ideal for short runs and especially suitable for grains and pulses.
Easy to operate, with touch screen driven menus and all the engineering quality and design of our larger industrial machines including hydraulic operation of the baskets, accurate temperature control and Shell and Tube chilling.
The D3 Mini consists of a cook section together with a combined quench/chill section mounted on a single frame. The Mini features our unique Vortex water flow which guarantees every piece of product is evenly cooked, quenched and chilled to a consistent high quality, ensuring zero clumping, no damage and therefore maximum yield. The product is delivered at a temperature of less than 4°c.
Product in feed is by way of an integrated hopper or low level bin tipper and for the outfeed there is a choice of draining table designs.
